About the Founder & Artist
Muullberry was created by Anita Surma - a portrait & fashion photographer, artist, and soul-led creator who believes in traveling lightly, living softly, and never following the crowd.
Anita’s work is rooted in emotion, adventure, and the beauty of real life. From photographing teens and wild landscapes to painting soulful portraits of animals and beloved dogs, her art is a reflection of her heart: raw, honest, and deeply connected to nature.
She built Muullberry for girls and women who crave comfort, growth, and self-expression - and for anyone who feels moved by art that tells a story. Every piece is inspired by her love for wandering, capturing meaningful moments, and living a peaceful life far from trends and noise.
Her mission is simple:

The story behind the brand's name
Muullberry isn’t just a name -
it’s the soul of everything this brand stands for.
Inspired by the mulberry fruit - a symbol of depth, sweetness, resilience, and transformation - the name reflects my own journey as an artist, a woman, and a creator learning to grow at her own pace. Mulberries take time to ripen. They grow quietly, deeply, and with intention - just like confidence, creativity, and self-love.
I added the extra U and L to make it mine.
Because Muullberry isn’t traditional - it’s personal.
It’s imperfect, wild, heartfelt, and made with soul.
Every piece I create - whether it’s clothing, art, or a captured moment through my lens - carries that same energy: growth, courage, and the beauty of becoming who you truly are.
